# StackFinds > Find the right tools for your stack. StackFinds is a directory of productivity and tech tools, especially AI tools, with pricing, use cases, and alternatives. Canonical site: https://stackfinds.com Prices below are the listing fields. A blank field means the figure was not verified. Do not infer a price, rating, or ranking that is not written here. ## beehiiv URL: https://stackfinds.com/tools/beehiiv/ Website: https://www.beehiiv.com Tagline: Newsletters, a site, and a podcast on one platform. Description: beehiiv sends newsletters and hosts a simple site and podcast. The free plan covers a list up to 2,500 subscribers. Paid plans are priced by list size. The free plan includes unlimited email sends, one publication, and a list of up to 2,500 subscribers. Paid plans add monetization, automations, and a higher subscriber cap. The public price depends on list size. At the first published bucket, up to 1,000 subscribers, Lite is $49 per month when billed annually, or $59 month to month. Pro at that same bucket is $95 per month billed annually, or $109 month to month. Those figures are from beehiiv’s pricing page as checked on October 15, 2026. A larger list uses a higher published bucket, so do not treat the $49 figure as the price at 10,000 subscribers. beehiiv takes 0% of paid subscription revenue. Stripe’s processing fee still applies. There is no separate per-send charge on the plans described above. ## Calendly URL: https://stackfinds.com/tools/calendly/ Website: https://calendly.com Tagline: Booking pages that put meetings on your calendar. Description: Calendly shares booking links so people can pick a time. A free plan covers basic one-on-one scheduling. Pricing model: Freemium Starting price: Free Paid plans from: $10 per seat/month, billed annually (Standard) Pricing: Calendly is listed as freemium. Starting price: Free. Paid plans from $10 per seat/month, billed annually (Standard). Those figures were checked on October 15, 2026. Price source: https://calendly.com/blog/appointment-manager-software Categories: Scheduling (https://stackfinds.com/categories/scheduling/) Use cases: For consultants (https://stackfinds.com/use-cases/consultants/); For marketers (https://stackfinds.com/use-cases/marketers/); For solo founders (https://stackfinds.com/use-cases/solo-founders/) Alternatives: None listed Pros: - Replaces the email thread about finding a time - The free plan works for a basic personal booking link - Standard adds multiple event types and payment integrations Cons: - Team routing and admin controls sit on higher plans - You pay per host seat, and that still adds up - Confirm the live price on calendly.com/pricing; packaging has changed before Calendly gives you a link. Someone opens it, sees the times you are free, and books. The event lands on the calendar you connected. Invitees do not need their own Calendly seat. A free plan covers basic scheduling. Calendly’s article on appointment-manager software says the Standard plan starts at $10 per user per month billed annually, and Teams starts at $16 per user per month billed annually. That article is the source for the number on this page. Recheck the live pricing page before you buy, because Calendly has reorganized plans before. Calendly earns a place in a consultant or founder stack as soon as strangers need to book time. It does not replace a CRM or a team chat tool. ## ChatGPT URL: https://stackfinds.com/tools/chatgpt/ Website: https://chatgpt.com Tagline: OpenAI’s assistant for chat, research, images, and coding. Description: ChatGPT is OpenAI’s consumer assistant. A free plan is available, and Plus is $20 per month. Pricing model: Freemium Starting price: Free Paid plans from: Not confirmed Pricing: ChatGPT is listed as freemium. Starting price: Free. A paid starting price is not confirmed. The free tier is the one most people have already tried. Paid plans add more room for uploads, images, research, and coding features such as Codex, with the exact mix depending on the plan. OpenAI’s Help Center lists ChatGPT Plus at $20 per month, billed monthly, and says there is no annual Plus plan. The pricing page also shows a Go plan between Free and Plus. The Go price did not appear in the page text we checked on October 15, 2026, so this listing does not state it. API usage is a separate bill. ChatGPT is the general-purpose choice. For cited research, compare Perplexity. For a second writing and coding assistant, compare Claude. ## Claude URL: https://stackfinds.com/tools/claude/ Website: https://claude.ai Tagline: Anthropic’s assistant for writing, research, and coding. Description: Claude is Anthropic’s chat assistant, with a free plan and paid Pro and Max subscriptions for heavier use. Pricing model: Freemium Starting price: Free Paid plans from: $20/month, or $17/month billed annually (Pro) Pricing: Claude is listed as freemium. Starting price: Free. People tend to reach for it when the job is a long document, a careful edit, or a coding session that should stay in one thread. The Free plan covers everyday questions. Pro is listed at $20 if you pay monthly, or $17 per month when you pay $200 up front for the year. Anthropic says Pro includes more usage than Free, plus Claude Code and projects. Limits still apply, and they are not a fixed number of messages. See also ChatGPT if you want the other major consumer assistant, and read the comparison in the journal before you pay for both. ## ClickUp URL: https://stackfinds.com/tools/clickup/ Website: https://clickup.com Tagline: Tasks, docs, and goals in one workspace. Description: ClickUp is a work tracker with a free plan. Unlimited and Business publish both yearly and monthly per-user prices. Pricing model: Freemium Starting price: Free Paid plans from: $7 per user/month, billed yearly (Unlimited) Pricing: ClickUp is listed as freemium. Starting price: Free. Paid plans from $7 per user/month, billed yearly (Unlimited). Those figures were checked on October 15, 2026. The Free Forever plan includes unlimited tasks and unlimited members, with limits on storage and on how the workspace is structured. Five spaces are included on Free. Unlimited removes that cap. ClickUp’s pricing page, checked October 15, 2026, lists Unlimited at $7 per user per month billed yearly, or $10 billed monthly. Business is $12 per user per month billed yearly, or $19 billed monthly. Enterprise is sold through sales. The page marks AI features as compatible and says free AI usage has limits. It does not print a separate AI price, so none is listed here. [monday.com](/tools/monday/) is the other general board tool in the directory. [Linear](/tools/linear/) is narrower and aimed at software teams. [Notion](/tools/notion/) is the better pick when the work product is a document rather than a task. ## Cursor URL: https://stackfinds.com/tools/cursor/ Website: https://cursor.com Tagline: An AI code editor with tab completion and coding agents. Description: Cursor is an AI coding environment. New subscriptions are part of The X Subscription, with a free tier and paid Plus and Premium plans. Pricing model: Freemium Starting price: Free Paid plans from: $8/month (Plus) Pricing: Cursor is listed as freemium. Starting price: Free. Paid plans from $8/month (Plus). Those figures were checked on October 15, 2026. Price source: https://cursor.com/docs/models-and-pricing Categories: AI coding (https://stackfinds.com/categories/ai-coding/); Developer tools (https://stackfinds.com/categories/developer-tools/) Use cases: For engineering teams (https://stackfinds.com/use-cases/engineering-teams/); For solo founders (https://stackfinds.com/use-cases/solo-founders/) Alternatives: None listed Pros: - Coding agents and tab completion live in the editor - A free tier exists for limited use - Plus is a low published monthly price if Cursor's own models are enough Cons: - Third-party model usage is not included in the Plus price - Plan names changed with The X Subscription, so older “Pro at $20” write-ups describe a legacy plan - Every paid tier still has a usage allowance Cursor is a code editor with AI built into completion, chat, and agents that can edit a repository. New customers buy it as part of The X Subscription rather than the older Cursor Pro plan. The current public price list is Free, Plus at $8/month ($80/year), Premium at $30/month, Super at $100/month, and Ultra at $200/month. Plus covers Cursor’s own models. Premium and above can call third-party models, billed at API list price from prepaid credit. Existing subscribers can keep legacy plans, including Pro at $20/month, but those are not what a new customer is offered. Cursor belongs in a stack when someone is writing code most days. It does not replace Git hosting or issue tracking. ## Descript URL: https://stackfinds.com/tools/descript/ Website: https://www.descript.com Tagline: Edit video and podcasts by editing the transcript. Description: Descript records, transcribes, and edits audio and video from the text. The free plan needs no card. Paid plans are per person. Pricing model: Freemium Starting price: Free Paid plans from: $16 per person/month, billed annually (Hobbyist) Pricing: Descript is listed as freemium. Starting price: Free. You record or import media, get a transcript, and cut by deleting words. The free plan includes that loop, with 60 media minutes a month, and does not require a card. On the annual prices shown October 15, 2026, Hobbyist is $16 per person per month, against a monthly price of $24. Creator is $24 per person per month billed annually, or $35 monthly. Business is $50 billed annually, or $65 monthly. The page says annual billing saves up to 35% versus monthly. Hobbyist includes 10 media hours and watermark-free 1080p export. Creator raises that to 30 media hours and 4K export. [ElevenLabs](/tools/elevenlabs/) is the tool to open when you need a generated voice rather than an edit of a recording you already have. ## ElevenLabs URL: https://stackfinds.com/tools/elevenlabs/ Website: https://elevenlabs.io Tagline: Text to speech, cloning, and other generated audio. Description: ElevenLabs generates speech, clones voices, and sells related audio tools. A free plan includes 10,000 credits a month. Pricing model: Freemium Starting price: Free Paid plans from: $6/month (Starter) Pricing: ElevenLabs is listed as freemium. Starting price: Free. Paid plans from $6/month (Starter). Those figures were checked on October 15, 2026. Every product draws from one monthly credit pool. The free plan is $0 and includes 10,000 credits. Rollover does not apply on Free. The pricing FAQ lists the lasting monthly prices: Starter $6, Creator $22, Pro $99, Scale $299, and Business $990. Annual billing is the monthly price times 10, which the FAQ describes as two months free. On October 15, 2026 the Starter card also showed a first month at $1, labeled until October 18, and Creator’s first month at $11. Those are introductory discounts, not the price after month one. [Descript](/tools/descript/) is the nearer tool when the job is editing a recording you already made, rather than generating the voice. ## Figma URL: https://stackfinds.com/tools/figma/ Website: https://www.figma.com Tagline: Collaborative interface design, prototyping, and whiteboarding. Description: Figma is a browser-based design tool with a free Starter plan and paid Professional seats for fuller team features. Pricing model: Freemium Starting price: Free Paid plans from: Professional seats listed at $3, $12, and $16 per month Pricing: Figma is listed as freemium. Starting price: Free. The file lives in the browser, so a review does not require the same desktop app on every machine. The Starter plan is free. On the Professional plan, Figma’s pricing page lists a Full seat at $16/month, a Dev seat at $12/month, and a Collab seat at $3/month. Those are the numbers shown on the page we checked. Annual versus monthly billing is easy to mix up, so confirm the cycle at checkout. Figma fits designers and the engineers who implement their work. It is the wrong tool if you only need a notes app or a ticket tracker. ## Framer URL: https://stackfinds.com/tools/framer/ Website: https://www.framer.com Tagline: Design a site on a canvas and publish it there. Description: Framer is a no-code site builder with a free plan for non-commercial projects. A custom domain requires a paid site plan. Pricing model: Freemium Starting price: Free Paid plans from: $10/month (Basic) Pricing: Framer is listed as freemium. Starting price: Free. Paid plans from $10/month (Basic). The free plan includes a Framer domain and is meant for non-commercial use. Connecting your own domain means moving to a paid plan. Framer’s pricing page, checked October 15, 2026, lists Basic at $10 per month and Pro at $30 per month. The page says those prices are monthly and are billed on the cycle you pick at checkout, with tax added there. Yearly plans include a complimentary domain. Additional editors are $20 per month, and viewers are free. [Webflow](/tools/webflow/) is the other no-code builder in this directory. [Figma](/tools/figma/) stays a design tool: it does not host the site. ## GitHub URL: https://stackfinds.com/tools/github/ Website: https://github.com Tagline: Git hosting, code review, and Actions for software teams. Description: GitHub hosts Git repositories and pull requests. Public and private repositories are available on the Free plan. Pricing model: Freemium Starting price: Free Paid plans from: Not confirmed Pricing: GitHub is listed as freemium. Starting price: Free. A paid starting price is not confirmed. Those figures were checked on October 15, 2026. Price source: https://github.com/pricing Categories: Developer tools (https://stackfinds.com/categories/developer-tools/) Use cases: For engineering teams (https://stackfinds.com/use-cases/engineering-teams/); For solo founders (https://stackfinds.com/use-cases/solo-founders/) Alternatives: None listed Pros: - The usual place to host Git repositories and review pull requests - The Free plan includes unlimited public and private repositories - Actions, Packages, and security products can be added as you need them Cons: - The price after Team’s introductory period is not clear from the public table - Actions minutes and Codespaces can cost more than the seat fee - Issue tracking is lighter than a dedicated product tracker GitHub is Git hosting plus the review workflow around it: pull requests, issues, Actions, and the social layer of open source. Most software teams already have a reason to be there because their dependencies are. The Free plan covers unlimited public and private repositories. GitHub’s team page lists GitHub Team at $4 USD per user per month. The pricing comparison qualifies Team and Enterprise Cloud as “$4” and “$21” per user per month “for the first 12 months,” so this listing does not state a post-introductory price. Use GitHub as the system of record for code. Use a dedicated tracker when the backlog needs cycles, triage, and product planning that Issues does not cover. ## HubSpot URL: https://stackfinds.com/tools/hubspot/ Website: https://www.hubspot.com Tagline: A CRM with free tools and paid Marketing Hub seats. Description: HubSpot is a CRM and marketing platform. Free tools exist. Marketing Hub Starter is priced per seat in HubSpot’s product catalog. Price source: https://legal.hubspot.com/hubspot-product-and-services-catalog Categories: CRM (https://stackfinds.com/categories/crm/) Use cases: For marketers (https://stackfinds.com/use-cases/marketers/); For consultants (https://stackfinds.com/use-cases/consultants/); For solo founders (https://stackfinds.com/use-cases/solo-founders/) Alternatives: None listed Pros: - Free tools cover a basic CRM, forms, and a limited marketing setup - Starter has a published per-seat price in the product catalog - Marketing, sales, and service can sit on the same contact record Cons: - Professional and Enterprise are a different price shape, plus required onboarding - Marketing contact overages are billed on top of the seat - The live pricing page did not show numbers, so checkout may differ from the catalog HubSpot is a customer platform: a CRM, plus hubs for marketing, sales, and service. The free tools include a basic CRM and forms. Paid Marketing Hub is a separate subscription, priced by edition. HubSpot’s product and services catalog, checked October 15, 2026, says Marketing Hub Starter starts at $20 per month per seat for new customers after March 5, 2024. That subscription includes 1,000 marketing contacts. Contacts past that band are priced per thousand. Professional starts at $890 per month, includes three core seats, and requires a one-time onboarding fee of $3,000. The marketing pricing page itself failed to load dollar amounts on the same day, so this listing uses the catalog and does not repeat any checkout promotion. Sales Hub, Service Hub, and extra credits are separate products. A Starter marketing seat is not a quote for the whole platform. ## Jasper URL: https://stackfinds.com/tools/jasper/ Website: https://www.jasper.ai Tagline: A marketing assistant with brand voice and campaigns. It is not a general chat subscription with a permanent free tier. The public offer is a 7-day trial of Pro, then a paid seat. Jasper’s pricing page, checked October 15, 2026, lists Pro at $69 per month per seat if you pay monthly, or $59 per month per seat if you pay yearly. The yearly option saves about 20% and commits you for 12 months. Pro includes one seat, two brand voices, five knowledge assets, and three audiences. Adding seats, API access, and the no-code agent builder means the Business plan, which is custom and also starts with a 12-month commitment. [ChatGPT](/tools/chatgpt/) and [Claude](/tools/claude/) are the general assistants. They are cheaper entry points when you do not need Jasper’s brand controls. ## Linear URL: https://stackfinds.com/tools/linear/ Website: https://linear.app Tagline: Issue tracking built for software teams. Description: Linear is project tracking for product and engineering teams, with a free plan and paid Basic and Business tiers. Pricing model: Freemium Starting price: Free Paid plans from: $10 per user/month, billed yearly (Basic) Pricing: Linear is listed as freemium. Starting price: Free. Issues, projects, cycles, and a deliberately small interface are the product. It is not trying to be a document suite. The Free plan includes unlimited members, two teams, and 250 issues. Basic is listed at $10 per user per month and Business at $16, both billed yearly, on Linear’s pricing page as checked on October 15, 2026. The page does not publish the monthly rate. Use Linear when the backlog is the source of truth for an engineering group. Use a docs tool when the work is writing, and a general tracker when the team is not building software. ## Make URL: https://stackfinds.com/tools/make/ Website: https://www.make.com Tagline: Visual scenarios that move work between apps. Description: Make automates workflows between apps and bills usage in credits. The free plan includes 1,000 credits a month. Usage is counted in credits. As of the note on Make’s site, most actions use one credit, and some AI features use more. The free plan includes 1,000 credits a month and is not time-limited. Make’s own comparison with Zapier says paid plans start at $9 for 10,000 credits a month on the Core plan. The pricing page confirms the free allowance and says yearly billing is cheaper than monthly. It did not restate the $9 figure in the text we checked on October 15, 2026, so confirm the billing toggle before you pay. [Zapier](/tools/zapier/) is the other automation tool here. It bills tasks instead of credits, and its paid plans start higher. ## monday.com URL: https://stackfinds.com/tools/monday/ Website: https://monday.com Tagline: Boards for projects, with a free plan for two seats. The free plan is $0, covers up to two seats and three boards, and does not require a card. On the work management pricing page, checked October 15, 2026, Basic is $9 per seat per month, Standard is $12, and Pro is $19, each shown as billed annually. The FAQ says you can pay month to month and that the monthly plan is not discounted. Those monthly seat prices were not in the page text we checked. Prices exclude tax and can vary by billing country. The page also says paid plans start from three users. [ClickUp](/tools/clickup/) is the closer general work tracker. [Linear](/tools/linear/) is the better fit when the work is software issues. [Notion](/tools/notion/) is the docs-first alternative. ## Notion URL: https://stackfinds.com/tools/notion/ Website: https://www.notion.com Tagline: Notes, docs, and lightweight databases in one workspace. It is a reasonable home for a solo operator’s notes and a small company’s operating system, as long as someone is willing to decide how pages are organized. The Free plan covers individual use. Plus, the first paid tier, is listed at $10 per member per month when billed annually. Business is listed at $20. Those figures are the annual USD prices on Notion’s pricing page as checked on October 15, 2026. Pick Notion when the work is shared documents plus light structure. If you want files that stay on your machine as Markdown, look at Obsidian instead. ## Obsidian URL: https://stackfinds.com/tools/obsidian/ Website: https://obsidian.md Tagline: A local-first notes app that stores your vault as Markdown files. You can use it with no account. The graph and backlinks are the point for people who write and research more than they assign tasks. Obsidian’s pricing page lists the app as free, including for commercial use. Sync, the end-to-end encrypted add-on, is $4 per user per month billed annually. The Commercial license is $50 per user per year and is a way to support development, not a key that unlocks the editor. Choose Obsidian when you want ownership of the files. Choose a workspace tool when the notes have to be edited by several people in a browser. ## Perplexity URL: https://stackfinds.com/tools/perplexity/ Website: https://www.perplexity.ai Tagline: An answer engine that cites the pages it used. That citation list is the reason to use it instead of a general chat assistant when the job is “what is true, and where did you read it?” The free plan is $0. Pro is listed at $17 per month when billed annually. Max is listed at $167 per month when billed annually. The pricing page we checked did not show a month-to-month Pro price. Both paid plans also talk about Computer credits, so the subscription is not always the whole cost. Use Perplexity when you need a sourced briefing. The SEO plan on the pricing page covers keyword research, position tracking, a site audit, and a basic set of AI-visibility reports. Checked on October 15, 2026, that SEO plan is $117.33 per month billed annually, or $139 per month. Starter, which adds a larger AI-visibility allowance, is $165.17 per month billed annually, or $199 per month. Pro+ is $248.17 per month billed annually, or $299 per month. Advanced is custom. The page says annual billing saves up to 17%. A free plan is listed at $0 per month, with no credit card, one demo project, and 10 reports a day. Semrush also offers a seven-day trial. It is the default chat tool in a lot of software companies, which is both the benefit and the switching cost. The free plan exists and limits history. Pro is listed at $7.25 per active user per month when billed annually, or $8.75 when billed monthly, on Slack’s paid-versus-free page as checked on October 15, 2026. Promotional discounts show up on the main pricing page and should not be treated as the lasting rate. Slack fits a group that already shares a workday. A solo founder with no teammates will get more from a notes app and a scheduler. ## Webflow URL: https://stackfinds.com/tools/webflow/ Website: https://webflow.com Tagline: A visual site builder with hosting and a CMS. The Starter site plan is free: a webflow.io domain, two static pages, and a limited CMS. A custom domain starts on the Basic site plan. On the yearly view of Webflow’s pricing page, checked October 15, 2026, Basic is $15 per month billed yearly and Premium is $25 per month billed yearly. Prices are in USD, per site, plus tax at checkout. Yearly billing is labeled as saving up to 40% versus monthly. The monthly dollar amounts were not on that view, so they are not listed here. Premium is the plan that adds the full Webflow CMS. [Framer](/tools/framer/) is the closer alternative when you want another no-code canvas. You build the workflow in a browser instead of hosting a worker. The free plan includes 100 tasks a month. Professional starts at $19.99 per month billed annually and includes 750 tasks, with extra tasks billed per task. Team starts at $69 per month billed annually. Those figures come from Zapier’s pricing pages as checked on October 15, 2026. Monthly billing costs more than the annual rate. Zapier fits when the apps you care about are already in its catalog and the volume is modest. At high volume, price the tasks before you commit. # Categories ## AI assistants https://stackfinds.com/categories/ai-assistants/ Chat assistants for writing, research, analysis, and everyday questions. Related tools: https://stackfinds.com/tools/webflow/, https://stackfinds.com/tools/framer/, https://stackfinds.com/tools/beehiiv/, https://stackfinds.com/tools/make/, https://stackfinds.com/tools/jasper/, https://stackfinds.com/tools/semrush/ A launch does not need one product that does everything. The jobs split cleanly: a site, a list, a way to move a signup from one to the other, and a place to draft. This note is that split. It is not a ranking, and it does not claim any of these tools converts better than another. Prices below are the ones on each tool’s public page on October 15, 2026. Recheck the listings before you pay. Plans change, and several of these prices depend on billing period or list size. ## The site [Webflow](/tools/webflow/) and [Framer](/tools/framer/) are both visual builders that host the site. Both have a free plan that is enough to learn the canvas and not enough for a real domain. Webflow’s Starter site is free on a webflow.io address, with two static pages. Basic, which adds a custom domain, is $15 per month billed yearly. Premium, the CMS plan, is $25 per month billed yearly. Those are per site. The monthly rates were not on the yearly view we checked. Framer’s free plan is for non-commercial projects and cannot take a custom domain. Basic is $10 per month and Pro is $30 per month. Framer says those figures are monthly rates billed on the cycle you choose at checkout, with tax added then. Extra editors are $20 per month. Pick Webflow when you already know you want a CMS and a per-site hosting plan with a published yearly price. Pick Framer when a $10 personal site and a design canvas are the whole job. [Figma](/tools/figma/) still matters if the design lives in a file that other people comment on. It does not replace either host. ## The newsletter [beehiiv](/tools/beehiiv/) is the newsletter in this stack. The free plan covers up to 2,500 subscribers and unlimited sends. Paid plans are priced by list size. At the first bucket, up to 1,000 subscribers, Lite is $49 per month billed annually, or $59 month to month. A bigger list uses a higher bucket, so quote the bucket you will actually reach. beehiiv also includes a website builder. That does not replace Webflow or Framer if the marketing site is a designed multi-page project. It does mean you should not pay for a second site product only to host the archive. ## The glue A form on the site should create a subscriber, and a new subscriber should land somewhere you can see. [Make](/tools/make/) is the automation tool for that. The free plan includes 1,000 credits a month. Make’s comparison page says Core starts at $9 for 10,000 credits a month. Most actions use one credit. [Zapier](/tools/zapier/) does the same job and bills tasks. Its Professional plan starts at $19.99 per month billed annually. Use the one whose app catalog already includes your form and your newsletter. Do not pay for both to connect two products. ## The drafts [Jasper](/tools/jasper/) is a marketing writing product with brand voice on the seat. Pro is $69 per month per seat, or $59 per month per seat billed yearly, with a 12-month commitment on the yearly plan. There is a 7-day Pro trial and no ongoing free plan. One seat is included. More seats are a sales conversation. If the draft is a post, a headline, or a product paragraph, [Claude](/tools/claude/) and [ChatGPT](/tools/chatgpt/) are the general assistants already in this directory, and both have a free plan. Jasper earns the seat when you want brand voice, audiences, and campaign structure stored in the product. It does not earn it for a single outline. ## After the site is up [Semrush](/tools/semrush/) is the research tool once you care which queries the site ranks for, and how the brand shows up in AI answers. The free plan is $0, with one demo project and 10 reports a day. The SEO plan is $117.33 per month billed annually, or $139 per month. You do not need it on day one. You do need it before you argue about rankings from memory. Two neighboring tools stay out of the core stack on purpose. [HubSpot](/tools/hubspot/) is the CRM if the launch is collecting sales contacts, not only newsletter readers. Its free tools exist, and Marketing Hub Starter is a separate per-seat price. [ElevenLabs](/tools/elevenlabs/) and [Descript](/tools/descript/) matter when the launch includes audio or video. They do not help you publish the site. ## Claude vs ChatGPT for everyday work https://stackfinds.com/blog/claude-vs-chatgpt/ A practical comparison of Claude and ChatGPT for writing, research, and coding, using only prices we could verify on public pages. Related tools: https://stackfinds.com/tools/claude/, https://stackfinds.com/tools/chatgpt/ Claude and ChatGPT are both general assistants with a free tier and a paid individual plan. They overlap enough that paying for both is a choice, not a requirement. This piece is about how to choose. It is not a benchmark, and it does not claim one of them wins a percentage of tests. Both products change models and limits often. The notes below describe the products as their public pages described them on October 15, 2026. Recheck the listings for [Claude](/tools/claude/) and [ChatGPT](/tools/chatgpt/) before you subscribe. ## Where they overlap Each one will draft an email, summarize a document you paste in, answer a question, and help with code. Each one has a free plan that is enough to learn the interface and a paid plan aimed at people who use it for work. Each one also sells team and API access that this comparison ignores. Those are different products with different bills. The useful difference is not “which model is smarter.” It is which daily jobs you are hiring the assistant to do, and which price you can actually confirm. ## Writing and editing Claude is the one we would open first for a long document: a proposal, a memo, a contract summary you still have to read yourself, or a pass that tightens a draft without sanding off the voice. Projects, on the Pro plan, are a way to keep that material together. ChatGPT is the broader everyday surface. The free plan is widely used for short writing. Higher plans add more room for uploads, images, and custom GPTs. If the work is a caption, a first outline, or a pile of small edits, either tool is fine, and the one you already have open will usually win. ## Research Neither tool is a replacement for opening the source. ChatGPT’s deeper research features are plan-limited. Claude will also work from documents you provide, and it will still miss things. If the job is “answer this and show the pages,” look at [Perplexity](/tools/perplexity/) before you assume a chat assistant is the right tool. Citations you can click are a different product shape than a fluent paragraph. ## Coding Claude Pro includes Claude Code, so a coding session can sit on the same subscription as the chat. ChatGPT’s paid plans expand access to Codex and related coding features. The details of what is included move with the plan, and the free tiers are the wrong place to do serious repository work. If you want the assistant inside the editor rather than in a chat tab, that is a third category. [Cursor](/tools/cursor/) is listed separately because it is an editor with its own plans, not a Claude-or-ChatGPT decision. ## Price, only where we could verify it | | Claude | ChatGPT | | --- | --- | --- | | Free plan | Yes | Yes | | Named individual paid plan | Pro | Plus, and a Go plan between Free and Plus | | Price we could verify | Pro is $20/month, or $17/month when billed annually ($200 up front) | Plus is $20/month, billed monthly, with no annual Plus plan | | Price we did not verify | Max and team plans | The Go plan’s price | Claude’s figure is from [claude.com/pricing](https://claude.com/pricing). ChatGPT Plus is from [OpenAI’s Help Center](https://help.openai.com/en/articles/6950777-what-is-chatgpt-plus). The ChatGPT pricing page lists a Go plan, but the dollar amount was not in the text we checked, so it is not in this table. Usage limits apply on both, and they are not a fixed number of messages. A heavy week of long documents and coding can hit a cap that a week of short questions will not. ## How to choose Start on the free plan of the one that matches the next month of work. - Choose Claude if the pile is long writing, editing, and some coding on one subscription. - Choose ChatGPT if you want the general assistant people already know, including images and GPTs, and you are comfortable that the cheaper Go price is unpublished here. - Try Perplexity first if the work is research with sources. - Try Cursor first if the work is editing a codebase in an IDE. Pay for one of them for a month before you pay for both. If you outgrow the free tier, the verified individual prices above are both about $20 a month unless you take Claude’s annual plan.
